Going Camping is a social narrative and like a social story explains what camping is, what activities you do when you camp, and how to be safe when camping. The story can be adapted by removing the pages that don’t apply to your camping trip. There are visuals that can be use make a daily schedule, use with an existing schedule, and/or as a choice board. There is also a visual to show how close he/she can stand to the fire. At the end of the day/trip there is a celebratory social narrative to read to reinforce the positive behaviors. There are also stickers that can be printed on labels and used with the camping activities.
