Spit Stays in My Mouth is a social narrative that explains why we need need to keep spit in our mouth. The story uses positive language verses negative language (don’t spit) to communicate to the child the expected behavior. The story comes with visuals to cue the child on what the expected behavior is (keeping spit in the mouth) and an additional celebratory social narrative that can be read to reinforce the behavior.
